Kouame Remi Oussou (Humphrey fellow, 2018/19) believes that “Each and every leader should step forward in this time of COVID-19”.

"Each and every leader should step forward in this time of COVID-19"

Oussou has risen to the challenge by developing and delivering a COVID-19 information campaign to 8 villages in his local community in Cote d’Ivoire.

The sensitization campaign provided general information on the pandemic, including the symptoms and preventive measures, and demonstrated effective hand-washing.

The campaign ran between 24 April and 1 May in 8 villages in the Ayaou region in central Cote d’Ivoire: N'douffoukankro, Ble, Diacohou, Attose, Akoviebo, Nangrekro, N'denoukro, and Benou. The campaign was supported by the Sous-prefet of N'douffoukankro.
