Congratulations to Our Two 2020 Fulbright-Cottrell Award Laureates!

We are pleased to welcome the 2020 recipients of the Fulbright-Cottrell Award, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Ann-Christin Pöppler and Dr. Günther Thiele, to the Fulbright-Cottrell Scholar network!

Dr. Pöppler leads a research group on organic structural chemistry at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and received the award for her project, “Complementary Tools for the Characterization of Complex Solid Materials.” Dr. Thiele is a junior research group leader at Freie Universität Berlin’s Institute for Chemistry and Biochemistry and received the award for his project “Structural Chemistry 2.0: Augmented Reality meets Solid State Research.” As stipulated by this award’s unique criteria, both projects integrate top-notch research with creative teaching.
